Product Development Sales

Who you are:

  • You are a hustler, self starter, street smart and are a great communicator.
  • You have had success either:
    • Delivering product as an engineer, project manager, product manager or business consultant at a technology-focused consulting company
    • OR you have been successful doing business development for a software product company
    • OR you are an experienced Sales Engineer who is ready to take full responsibility for making his clients successful.

What you’ll do: 

  • Stimulate inbound leads through collaboration with marketing.

Project Manager

Who you are:

  • you’re a maker

What you’ll do: 

  • see your projects through from kickoff to app store submission
  • work on a constant flow of new projects
  • project meetings like release planning, sprint planning, velocity tracking and daily stand-ups
  • client meetings like kickoffs, status reports, and bug triages
  • manage teams of friendly developers all over the country (but mostly in California)
  • interact closely with the design team
  • make tasty backlogs that are nutritious for both dev and QA
  • talk to your clients. Some are technical and experienced, some aren’t. Be comfortable with both.

Full Stack Javascript Developer

Who you are:

  • Expert Javascript Developer
  • Understand the most dangerous and common ways in which JS is mis-used and mis-understood.
  • Understand what is required to organize JS in a large project, especially Node.js projects.
  • Love Javascript but its not your only programming language.
  • Like passing on what you know to your team mates.
  • Can work through ambiguity while you help identify and resolve it. 
  • Can work independently but are excited about demonstrating progress. 
  • Bonus points for experience with React.js

What you’ll do: 

  • Work on a React Native project targeting mobile apps for iOS and Android. 
  • Teach mastery of JS to a team of native app developers. 
  • Work on a team of 2-4 devs for most projects. 
  • Work on a constant flow of projects that last between 3 and 5 months.
  • Be asked to review the technical feasibility of project proposals
  • Review design documents for technical feasibility
  • Work closely with the quality team
  • Help the project manager build the best backlog
  • Contribute to our open source repository 
  • Attend daily scrum meetings. Be part of bi-weekly planning meetings. Make yourself available for impromptu meetings.

Who you are:

  • Work on a team of 2-4 devs for most projects.

  • Bonus Points for having completed a project on tvOS

What you’ll do: 

  • Work on a team of 2-4 devs for most projects.

  • Know other languages besides Ruby

QA Specialist

 Who you are:

  • You have a customer service or testing background. 
  • You’re hungry for new challenges.
  • You understand the importance of clearly documented steps to reproduce 
  • You can work independently but are excited about demonstrating your progress daily
  • You can work remotely, but you’re always available during business hours for chat or calls.
  • You’re always thinking about the end user and are not afraid to say “what if. “
  • You don’t freak out when faced with ambiguity; aren’t afraid to call it out and work through it and help resolve it
  • You’re comfortable with devices, devices, and more devices. 
  • You’re willing to express your opinion about the quality. 

What you’ll do: 

  • Be part of the testing team for one or more projects. Test iOS, android, and web applications.
  • Work with tools like Slack, Assembla, Testuff, TestFlight, BaseCamp. Bonus if you’re familiar with xCode or Charles Proxy.
  • Join daily scrum meetings and bi-weekly planning sessions.
  • Test features as they are developed.
  • Test the whole app from start to finish.
  • Help identify usability problems or gaps in design
  • Write test cases and test plans
  • Work closely with developers
  • Record issues with attention to detail, push them to acceptance and completion
